What this is. Wagmile is an iPhone app for dog owners, made by Nova Page Publishing Ltd. These terms cover one thing: a free listing for a local pet business, shown in the app’s Nearby tab under “Listed on Wagmile”, to people looking at the map near your address. The app is not on the App Store yet. We do not promise a launch date, and we do not promise that any number of people will see your listing.
It is free. There is no charge for a listing and we do not ask for payment details.
Your information. You confirm that you own the business or are allowed to speak for it, and that what you send us is accurate. You allow us to show the business name, category, address, phone, website, hours, description and the details for dog owners that you tick or write, in the app and on wagmile.com. Your contact name and contact email are not shown.
We read each listing. A person reads a listing before it appears. We may decline or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or not a business that serves dogs and their owners. We may correct obvious typing mistakes and place your address on the map.
What a listing does not mean. A listing shows what the business told us. We do not rate, rank, inspect, license-check or background-check businesses, and a listing is not an endorsement by us. Please do not describe it as one.
Edit or remove at any time. The email we send you has a link to edit or remove your listing. Removing it deletes it from our records. You do not need an account or a password.
Places from public records. Wagmile also shows pet businesses that nobody has signed up: places taken from business records that cities and states publish, and from OpenStreetMap. Such a page shows only what the record says (name, category, address, phone, website and the place on the map) and names the record it came from. It carries no rating and no description, and it does not mean the business has any connection with us.
Claiming a place. If one of those pages is your business, “Claim this page” opens the same free sign-up, filled in from the record. After you confirm your email and a person here has read it, your own listing takes the place of the public-record page.
Removing a place. Every public-record page has a “Something wrong? Tell us” link. If the business is yours and you do not want it here, if the address is a private home, or if the place has closed, say so there. The page is taken down right away, from the site and from the app, and a person then reads the request. You do not need an account.
Sources. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Vancouver, the Open Government Licence – Toronto and the Open Government Licence – City of Calgary. Contains data from the City of Denver Open Data Catalog (http://data.denvergov.org), licensed under CC BY 3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/). Other records come from open data published by the City of Seattle, the City of Los Angeles, the City and County of San Francisco and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. These sources do not endorse Wagmile, and the records are shown as they are; they can be out of date.
Changes to features, limits and prices. We may change, at any time, what Wagmile offers for free, its limits (for example how many listings, photos or messages it includes), its features and its prices, and we may stop offering a feature. Changes apply from the date they take effect. They never take away something you already paid for: a paid period keeps what it included until it ends, and a new price applies only from your next renewal.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top will change, and the new terms apply from that date. If a change affects how you use Wagmile, we will also show it in the app or on the site. If you keep using Wagmile after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Liability. The service is provided as it is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for lost business or other indirect losses from a listing appearing, not appearing, or being removed.
Contact. Write to hello@wagmile.com, or reply to any email from us. A person reads it.
